| Description | Physical quantities are a common part of everyday life. Measuring devices are used to accurately determine the value of a physical quantity. Measurement is a process where we compare the investigated property (quantity) with a generally accepted unit. The result is the ratio of the investigated quantity to unity. However, human senses can also be used to approximately determine the value of physical quantities. Using simple experiments, we will test the role of human senses in estimating the values of physical quantities, and we will also verify the accuracy and range of our senses, when determining, for example, weight, length, temperature, time, volume, etc. |
