Description Even though many ancient stories seem magical, superstitious or unreal to us, people believed in them and they were no different from people today who believe in religion, miracles and ideas that have little basis in reality. However, in real terms, religious, whether Christian or Muslim, stories have more in common with fairy tales than we realise, except that fairy tales are far freer, as they tend to be secular and not based on a prescribed belief system or religious codes.
