Description The book discusses the role of special educational needs teachers in the contemporary school environment in the Czech Republic from their perspective. The book presents selected findings of qualitative research. There were approached special education teachers with diverse specializations as research participants – professionals in the field of speech therapy, visual impairment, physical or intellectual disability, behavioral and emotional difficulties/disorders, hearing impairment, and learning disabilities. These were special educational needs teachers working in the field, i.e. in schools and school facilities. The text offers insight into the profession and the professional experience of special educational needs teachers for special needs education students. For teachers (including special educational needs teachers), the text represents an opportunity to reflect on their professional position, activities, and experience.
