| Description | The use of artificial clots with a barium sulfate-based contrast agent allows the radiological quantification of the clot decay rate and the construction of a lytic curve. The simplicity, repeatability and robustness of the model will allow comparison of the thrombolytic effect of new potential thrombolytics. Modification of the classical MCAO model allows an informed safety assessment of new thrombolytics, combinations or dosing regimens. |
