| Description | This study analyses legal succession and its specifics considering intellectual property rights in Czech law and the relevant conflict-of-laws aspects in private international law. Analysed are mainly conflict-of-laws rules of the Rome I Regulation and the Succession Regulation, as these regulations are primary sources of these rules in the examined area. Furthermore, emphasis is placed on defining the scope of law applicable to intellectual property rights and on the lex loci protectionis connecting factor, which constitutes one of the limits of application of the law applicable to contractual obligations or succession. |
