Description | The aim of chronotopic typologization is to derive a typical spatiotemporal rhythm (rhythmic profile) of the number of people present for spatial units in the territory of the Czech Republic, i.e. identification of so-called chronotopes. Within the methodology, a square grid of 250 x 250 metres is used as a spatial layout, which enables the analysis of arbitrary administrative and functional spatial units (e.g. metropolitan areas). The definition of the rhythmic profiles is based on the theoretical approaches of time geography and their construction is carried out on the basis of the recognition of the spatiotemporal attributes of the elements (areas) and the set of rhythmizers (pacemakers) that are actually present in a given grid cell. The principle of the chronotopic typologization is the use of a multi-source procedure and machine learning to automate and iterate this method based on the insertion of customizable parameters. |
