| Description | Solving the motion of a charged particle in a magnetic field is usually one of the typical tasks in a course in mechanics at the beginning of university studies in physics. The present paper shows that a complete solution of this problem, i.e. to find the trajectory of a particle, can be reached even at secondary school by a completely elementary explanation based on Newton's second law, so called force laws (expressions for forces acting on a particle) and energy considerations. |
