Description | Sexuality is an important part of life. We can talk about andrological ageing in men 40+ (i.e. in a large part of the population), yet the sexuality of ageing and the elderly is still taboo. This book provides the reader with a comprehensive view of male aging from an andrological perspective in the context of diseases with a high incidence in old age. Men with type 2 diabetes, men after pelvic cancer surgery, and cardiac patients are the most likely to suffer from sexual dysfunction (especially severe erectile dysfunction). Thanks to modern testosterone replacement therapy and modern treatment of erectile dysfunction, the duration of active sexual life is prolonged and the quality of life of men 40+ is increased. The author also currently mentions the impact of the COVID-19 infectious disease epidemic on the aging male population. |
