| Description | The text brings information about the life of the Slavs during the Avar Khaganate from the perspective of spiritual culture. From the 6th to the beginning of the 9th century, the ongoing period under the influence of the Avar culture caused changes in many areas of the life of the Slavs. On the basis of preserved sources, mainly from Christian scholars and archaeological findings, it is possible to get an at least partial idea of the worshiped cults. The main theme of the work is the analysis and description of individual cults, sacrifices, celebrations and rituals of this period. |
