| Description | The contribution discussed the national aspects of the so-called Czechoslovak pensions saga; i.e. court jurisprudence regarding the adjustment of pensions to citizens of the Czech Republic who, after the dissolution of the federation, received pensions from the Slovak Republic on the basis of a bilateral agreement. Cases over Czechoslovak pensions resulted in a dispute between the Constitutional Court of the Czech rep. and the ECJ, in which the CC explicitly stated for the first time that the ECJ (in the Landtová case) acted ultra vires. The contribution analyzed the attitudes and relationships of individual national actors (CC, SAC, government, Parliament) in this saga. |
