| Description | In this paper, we will deal with the issue of resocialization and rehabilitation of convicted natural and legal persons as one of the topics that are mentioned in the mass media. The aim of the contribution will be to analyse the frequency of such thematically tuned news in the Czech web (text) mass media in the past five years, which will be illustrated on a demonstrative list of such news, and to make a comparison between how often the media deal with the issue of resocialization and rehabilitation of natural persons and how often they deal with the same issue regarding legal entities. Firstly, we will present the methodology used in the preparation of this paper, and afterwards we will briefly define the concepts of resocialization and rehabilitation. This will be followed by a basic demonstration of the differences in the catalogue of punishments that are imposed on natural persons and the catalogue of those punishments that can be imposed on legal entities. After that, we will pay attention to selected media cases of convicted natural and legal persons, on which we will illustrate the possible different approach of the media to the problem addressed by these two categories. |
