| Description | Kepler devoted his life to the cause of harmony. He showed, that the World is constructed on harmonic principles. His culminating work was the Harmony of the World, an unusually interesting work with mathematical interpretation of planetary harmony, their daily angular velocities in apsides with reference to the Sun. Throughout the work theories about celestial motions and music are interconnected. Among other things he presented some original clarification of four voices of planets. In the last part, Kepler formulated a proportion of the periodic times to the mean distances of planets from the Sun, i.e. the third law of planetary motion, also known as the law of harmonies. |
