| Description | A heat island is an area where temperature dynamics differ significantly compared to the surrounding landscape. We will demonstrate how a range of location-specific information can be obtained using high school physics and the now commonly available Earth Remote Sensing technology. The activity is suitable for an independent project by high school students. |
