Description The coronavirus epidemic and the measures taken to limit the spread of the disease also manifested themselves in the area of fulfilling the obligations of issuers of participating securities connected with transparency. Although these are not changes at the level of newly adopted legislation, the recommendations of supervisory authorities (ESMA or CNB) will undoubtedly have an impact on the application of existing standards, the aim of which is to ensure the proper functioning of the capital market through timely and reliable information. In the area of periodic information, the change mainly concerns the greater leniency of the supervisory authorities when it comes to extending the legal deadlines for the submission of documents created for the purpose of financial reporting (annual reports, consolidated financial statements). In the case of an ad-hoc information obligation, the emphasis is placed on the timely publication of all significant information relevant to the assessment of the issuer's financial situation and economic prospects, and on handling this data as so-called "inside information".
