Description | The aim of the article is to analyze selected concepts of death as reported by bachelor's degree students from various faculties of a selected university. These students have completed an elective course in the university's common foundation dedicated to the phenomenon of death through various social science perspectives. The selected concepts of death presented in the article are linked to the corresponding field of study. The students' selected concepts of death are introduced in the text: death as peace, death as freedom, death as the cessation of an organism and a natural part of life, death as a parallel to an experiment in the field of artificial intelligence. Ideas about death are highly individual; students formulated them depending on, but also independently of, their field of study. Students sometimes differentiated between professional concepts and personal concepts related to the topic of death. |
