Description | The policy paper represents one of the outputs of the project called "Identification and Application of Strategic Communication Tools in the Implementation of the Czech Republic's Foreign Policy Concept", which is being implemented in 2022-2024 (applied research project). The policy paper conveys the results of a questionnaire survey conducted on a representative sample of the Czech population in January 2023, focusing, among other things, on issues related to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the Czech Republic's foreign policy in relation to this conflict and related aspects. It identifies possible associations in the Czech population between the opinion profile of respondents and their socio-demographic characteristics: age, gender, educational attainment, economic status, the region in which the respondent lives, and the environment in which the respondent primarily moves (predominantly rural or predominantly urban environment). It identifies possible associations in the Czech population between the opinion profile of respondents and the information sources from which these respondents often draw information about foreign policy and foreign affairs. Based on previous research, it identifies groups in Czech society that should be targeted for strategic communication aimed at providing information on Czech foreign policy in relation to Ukraine, Russia, the war in Ukraine and related topics targeted by the questionnaire survey. It proposes this strategic communication in terms of its content and possible means of implementation (communication channels, etc.), including the identification of possible risks potentially threatening the success of the strategic communication. |
