| Description | Department of the History of the State and Law organised the Annual Meeting of the Young Romanists, which takes place under the aegis of the Collegium Junger Romanisten (http://junge-romanisten.de/aktuelles.html). This collegium consists of doctoral and post-doctoral students at Roman law chairs and institutes in German-speaking countries in search of academic exchange. During the annual meeting, participants present their dissertation and habilitation projects, discuss the significance and function of Roman law in science and teaching and get to know colleagues from Germany and abroad. Thematically, we focus on ancient Roman law. Since 2007, the Collegium has organised an annual meeting every year, usually in spring - the XVII Annual Meeting of Young Romanists was held in Brno on 12th-14th April 2023. |
