Description The overgrowth of habitats clearly has a negative impact on the natural communities of native plants and animals. It contributes significantly to the degradation of ecosystem services and loss of biodiversity, which means that overgrowth must be minimized. This can be achieved with various methods of traditional site management. The contribution summarizes the possibilities of ecological restoration of wetland habitats using the example of good practice in the Spálené Potok floodplain and opens up further possibilities for restoration management, including the potential for the use of semi-parasitic plant seeds.
