| Description | The monograph explores the oeuvre of Ctirad Kohoutek (1929–2011), a leading Czech composer in the second half of the 20th century. Using the pars pro toto method, it focuses on his instrumental music, through which it attempts to define the composer’s style as it changed over the years and identify the underlying principles of his composition and poetics. It is built upon the analyses of Kohoutek’s instrumental compositions, arranged in chronological order. The book includes a catalogue of Ctirad Kohoutek’s instrumental compositions. |
