| Description | The article outlines the earlier stages of the thematic groups lexicography with regard to German – selected dictionaries of this kind are briefly characterised and the corresponding scholarly reflection is discussed, with main focus on the influential authors (G. W. Leibniz and W. v. Humboldt); the ideas and concepts are specifically highlighted, which remained present in the subsequent scholarly discussion, e.g. the conceptual systems and their utilisation in lexicography, including the ‘Begriffssystem’ by R. Hallig and W. von Wartburg. |
