| Description | A collection of papers presented in the section Protection of Values in Postmodern Society at the Cofola 2023 conference.The published papers deal with cross-cutting themes of criminal law in the context of the challenges and crises of postmodern society. The selection of papers presents a diverse range of current challenges and issues that criminal law scholarship is addressing and that simultaneously drive the application of criminal law practice. Examples include the topic of electronic evidence, the protection of public authorities from interference in the performance of their activities, the clash between administrative and criminal liability, the criminal protection of animals, drug offences, or the broad issue of the enforcement of imprisonment and related issues.
