Description The Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) is characterised by the formation of huge flocks in non-breeding periods. These flocks usually spend nights at communal roost sites in a variety of habitats. They mostly roost in reeds, but they can also roost in trees and on buildings, often in urban areas. In this study, we collected known data on the communal roost sites of starlings in the city of Brno (South Moravia) between 2000 and 2021.
