| Description | Thymol as a drug with low bioavailability is a promising candidate for self-micro emulsifying drug delivery systems (SMEDDS). This study aimed to develop a thermodynamically stable thymol-loaded SMEDDS for potential adsorption onto a solid carrier for capsule filling. The formulated system exhibited stability under challenging conditions and demonstrated effective intestinal membrane penetration. Further research will focus on its long-term stability and solidification. |
