Description | There exists a significant disparity in the adoption and effectiveness of environmentally responsible procurement practices among procurers across different European countries. For instance, Nordic countries demonstrate a notably higher prevalence of environmentally responsible procurement compared to other EU states. This suggests that barriers to the implementation of environmentally responsible procurement cannot solely be attributed to the nature of public procurement. Other factors influencing the minimal adoption of environmentally responsible procurement practices in some countries, and conversely, its extensive adoption in others, warrant further investigation. My research aims to address these challenges by evaluating the current state of environmentally responsible procurement implementation within the Czech Republic and exploring strategies to enhance its effectiveness. By examining procurement practices, legislative frameworks, and practical challenges, my research seeks to contribute to the advancement of environmentally responsible procurement practices. |
