| Description | Modern antipsychotics are safe drugs free from the frequent unpleasant side effects of the older generation. However, these drugs have other adverse effects, namely metabolic ones, and in the long term, they are very risky for the development of cardiometabolic complications. Antipsychotics demonstrating the highest clinical efficacy are associated with the greatest manifestation of adverse metabolic effects. |
