| Description | The article discusses possible approaches to the intended legal regulation of surrogacy in the Czech Republic, in relation to current efforts to legislate the institution. The focus of the paper is therefore on a critical analysis of the possible legal conditions for the use of the procedure. Specifically, four sets of issues are examined, including (1) the characteristics of the applicants and the surrogate mother, (2) the determination of the rights and obligations of the parties involved (3) the regulation of the method of determining parenthood, (4) the establishment of a mechanism for institutional control. |
