Description | The collection of 7 policy papers represents the output of the applied research project entitled Identification and Application of Strategic Communication Tools in the implementation of the Czech Foreign Affairs Concept, which was realized in 2022-2024. The individual policy papers were intended for the needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Particular analyses were devoted to the following topics: Regional socio-economic conditions: context for the analysis of opinion-forming behaviour (Policy paper 1); War in Ukraine, its reflection in Czech public opinion and recommendations for communication strategy (Policy paper 2); Czech foreign policy, its orientation, reflection in Czech public opinion and recommendations for a communication strategy (Policy paper 3); The Czech Republic and the European Union: reflection in Czech public opinion, recommendations for a communication strategy (Policy paper 4); Security issues and priorities of the new Security Strategy of the Czech Republic (2023) in the framework of strategic communication (Policy paper 5); The war in Ukraine and changes in its reflection by the Czech public opinion. Reflection on the possibilities of a communication strategy (Policy paper 6); The Green Deal, energy policy and its reflection by the Czech public opinion. Communication strategy options (Policy paper 7). The aim of the individual analyses was to convey the results of public opinion research on the basis of focus groups held in autumn 2022 and two questionnaire surveys conducted on a representative sample of the Czech population in January 2023 and subsequently in December and January 2023/2024. The aim was also to propose, at the end of each policy paper, a communication strategy related to each topic in terms of its content and possible ways of implementation (communication channels, etc.), including identification of possible risks potentially threatening the success of strategic communication. |
