Description | Research confirms a strong relationship between students’ educational outcomes and their socioeconomic status. One possible explanation for the relationship between social disadvantage and academic success is the level of student engagement. The aim of this multi -case study is to investigate the implementation of a nationwide project focused on promoting equal opportunities in schools with a higher number of socioeconomically disadvantaged students in a post -pandemic situation. Based on the analysis of perceived problems by school staff and their solutions regarding the education of socially disadvantaged students, there is a tendency to prioritize student engagement rather than their educational outcomes. This pattern is also reflected in the selection of measures from the project offer. |
