Description The year 1848 was a pivotal period in the history of the Habsburg Monarchy, leading to significant political, legal, and social changes. The main aim of the article is to analyse the impact of the revolutions of that year on the transformation of the Austrian monarchy's political system, particularly in the Czech lands. The author provides a detailed examination of the process of transition from absolutism to attempts at constitutionalism and their influence on further development until the monarchy's fall in 1918. The study is based on a historical-legal analysis of legislative documents and political events that shaped modern legal and political institutions.
