Description The presented paper introduces the bibliotherapeutic potential of the fantasy genre in secondary school education. Using findings from developmental psychology and reading research studies it considers suitable works of fantasy literature which can support adolescent students in coping with developmental challenges and other problems. In the end, a proposal of the bibliotherapeutic lesson on how to cope with feelings of guilt based on Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K Le Guin is presented.
