Description The talk addresses the historical phonology of Czech. It demonstrates how the phonological system can be seen through the lens of versology. The goal od the paper is to present new research perspectives based on a computational approach to historical linguistic data and their interpretation within phonological typology. Specifically, it focuses on the development of syllabic consonants.
