Description The child's spontaneous artistic expression visualizes the child's preconceptions. Their representation takes into account the child's ideas about the world, his experiences, and knowledge gained through his perception and experience of various situations. The child's imaginative fantasies are also included and should be accepted with respect, not only as a starting point for the development of the child's cognition and authentic creation. However, support for subjective artistic expression is not automatic in educational institutions, as many studies on children's creative expression have shown. This paper will offer the results of a research-based pedagogical intervention in preschool art education that was part of the authors' research and artistic development project. Methodologically, the interventions were art-based-research interventions, based on a post-hoc analysis of the creative process and its outcomes, children's non-verbal and verbal responses, and a holistic approach emphasizing the acquisition of art experiences. The intention was to gain a deeper understanding of how children express themselves artistically concerning selected pre-concepts. The aim was to recognize the experience's unique value and promote the authenticity of artistic expression.
