Description | The paper presented research into the use of ancient Egyptian themes in the work of the British Thelemite Kenneth Grant. Through an analysis of the intertextuality of his Typhonian Trilogies, the presentation argued that Kenneth Grant, by subverting Egyptological narratives, wanted to liberate the reader's perception from established norms and lead him to acquire magical consciousness. Through his subversion of Egyptological narratives, Grant thus wanted to textually replicate tantric practices as well as criticize patriarchal religious traditions. |
