Description | In an ideal world, our lives would flow without obstacles, filled with happiness, prosperity, growth, and stability. We all wish that our visions of a perfect life could become reality. However, reality often confronts us with challenges that disrupt this idyllic image. For parents of prematurely born children, these challenges can be even more intense and emotional. So, how do we cope with the fact that life has no guarantees and that happiness can be only temporary? What values and skills should we develop in ourselves and our children to better prepare for unpredictability and change? How can we use acceptance and trust as key tools for navigating through difficult life moments and overcoming hardships so that they do not become sources of lasting trauma? This post will focus on strategies and approaches that can help parents of prematurely born children find meaning in their experiences and build resilience against life's uncertainties. We will discuss how to maintain inner strength and a positive outlook even in tough times, and how to pass these values on to our children. |
