Description | This presentation explores the disruption of traditional learning environments during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a focus on Nigeria's transition to online education. Limited access to the internet and computers posed significant challenges for teachers, particularly in delivering quality education. Through a study incorporating surveys and questionnaires, the experiences of teachers in Abuja—known for its relatively better educational infrastructure—are analyzed. The research examines the support teachers received, the challenges they faced amid Nigeria's economic realities, and the broader implications for education delivery. Drawing on scientific articles and qualitative analysis, this presentation underscores the urgent need for improved preparedness for future pandemics, advocating for sustainable education systems and enhanced support mechanisms for teachers. It calls for a transformative approach to learning spaces to enable teachers and students in Nigeria and other developing countries to adapt effectively to evolving educational demands. |
