| Description | The amendments to the European Union budget resulting from Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine are of strategic importance for both supporting Ukraine and adapting the EU's internal financing mechanisms. The military aggression has created unprecedented challenges for the EU, including the need to provide humanitarian aid, enhance defense capabilities, reconstruct critical infrastructure, and reduce energy dependence on Russia. These factors have necessitated the reallocation of funds among key budgetary items, as well as the approval of new funds and financial assistance instruments. This paper analyzes the key aspects of the EU’s financial decisions aimed at addressing the crisis's consequences, evaluates their effectiveness, and examines their long-term impact on the Union's economic stability. |
