Description | The interpretation of historical sources often raises questions about their inherent meaning and the extent to which they reflect real-life connections and dynamics. This paper addresses these questions by reexamining the inquisition protocols of the Celestine inquisitor Petrus Zwicker from 1392 to 1394 in Stettin through the lens of network analysis. The paper provides specific examples of how employing digital methodologies such as network analysis and spatial analysis significantly enhances our understanding of historical sources. They help to deepen traditional historical scholarship, moving beyond mere description to achieve better analytical understanding. |
