Description | The Hajdúbagos/Pişcolt–Cehăluţ group was de?ned primarily on the basis of a cremation burial discovered in the Hungarian village of the same name. The burial site was discovered already in 1909 by Lajos Zoltai. The material design of this group is based on the prototypes of the Otomany-Füzesabony cultural complex and barrow culture. It stretched east of the Tisa River on the Romanian-Hungarian border. In 2003, during the research of the settlement of the Piliny culture, in Seňa (dis. Košice-okolie) a part of the amphora of this group was discovered, far from the territory of its spread. This is the only known ?nd of this group in Slovakia. Thanks to the petrographic analysis, we can determine the origin of the minerals in the ceramic material and answer the question: In this case, it is an import of the vessel, or was it made on the settlement, or in the area of Piliny culture? |
