Description The National Stroke Research Network STROCZECH, established in 2020, is a platform for cooperation between researchers, healthcare professionals and other partners in the field of cerebrovascular care. Its main goal is to conduct research and improve the care of patients with stroke. STROCZECH connects well-functioning stroke centers in the Czech Republic with the CZECRIN research infrastructure (CZEch Clinical Research Infrastructure Network), which is part of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN-ERIC). This connection enables the implementation of non-commercial (academic) multi-centric clinical studies that serve to develop new medical methods, optimize drugs and clinical procedures. The main pillars of STROCZECH are: • collaborative research; • translation of research into practice through the application of the latest scientific knowledge; • effective organization and structure supporting the functioning of the research network.
