Description | Some dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans have shown antioxidant activity. The highest antioxidant activity was demonstrated by (-)-gomisin J (p < 0.001). This activity corresponded to approximately 50% of the activity of quercetin (p< 0.001), which served as a positive control. The anti-inflammatory activity was detected for (-)-gomisin N (p< 0.0001) and (+)-?-schisandrin (p< 0.0001)at a concentration of 10 µM. The activity of these compounds was higher than that of the positive control prednisolone (p< 0.0001) at a concentration 2 µM. |
