| Description | The contribution describe new advances in running water ecology. There are explained and discussed common and special theories as zonation concept, river continuum concept, stream hydraulics concept, resource spiralling concept, serial discontinuity concept, flood pulse concept, riverine productivity and catchment concept. Some remarks are focused to patch dynamic concept, disturbance and mikro -mesohabitat (mikro - mesorefugium) problemacy (hyporheal, flow refugia etc.). The last part of this article introduced new accesses to monitoring of running waters. |
