Main goal of the project was to find the present developmental characteristics of socioculturally disadvantaged children at early school age especially of those whose mother language is not Czech and thus contribute to the discussion about the appropriate approach to educational work with these children. The study use a sample of 370 second-grade children who were also tested at their third grade. Children in our sample attend 12 schools (of which 4 are special schools) in the central part of Brno. |
