| Description | The paper deals with transformation, storage and processing of dictionaries in an electronic form. Various aspects of the XML format are discussed first. Then, a transformation of source data into a target format is taken into consideration. Such a process is called up-translation. The next section summarizes our experience with the transformation of large dictionaries, especially of the Dictionary of Literary Czech (SSJČ). The last section brings recommendations for those who will be engaged in similar projects |
