Description The objective of this research has been to study gender differences which may have caused current poor representation of women in engineering. The factor analysis has been used for analysing the secondary school results per gender. Three main factors have been identified: the science-ability, the general-aptitute and memory-ability. It was found that statistically significant difference between boys and girls exists only in the science-ability factor.
