Description | Conference Proceedings. In November 2000 the School of Social Studies of Masaryk university (department of sociology) in collaboration with the Parliament of the Czech Republic - Senate (Committee on Health and Social Policy) held a conference on social benefits - their state and perspectives in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the conference was to promote understanding of the role of the social benefits within the Czech government social doctrine. Discussed topics: the legitimacy of claimants of social benefits in the Czech welfare state; influence of social benefits on social structure and social processes in the Czech republic; problems connected with the distribution of the social benefits: take-up and non take-up of social benefits; both strategies and the experiences of life on dole and life strategies of the poor. |
