Description This article deals with the excess mortality of males in 76 districts of the Czech Republic in 1981-1995. It is expressed as a difference of expectancy life at birth of males and females, which is one of indicators of life tables. The evaluation issues from three of five years' periods: 1981-1985, 1986-1990, 1991-1995. 5,9 years is the smallest sex discrepancy in districts and remains the same during all three periods. The maximum value declines - step by step - from 9,0 years up to 8,3 years in the last period.
