Description | The wound healing process is a complex series of events that begins at the moment of injury and can continue for months to years. Every wound healing proceeds in three interrelated dynamic phases with overlapping time courses, irrespective of the wound type and the degree of tissue damage. This article, where the authors present an overview of wound healing process and describe the various stages, can serve as a guide to understanding wound healing as well as a management tool for choosing local wound care. |
