Description | The paper presents the comparison of major oxides (microprobe) and trace elements (LA-ICP-MS) chemistry of the detrital pyrope-almandines from Luleč Conglomerates with pyrope-almandines of selected granulites of the Bohemian Massif for the purpose of provenance of the Culm sediments. Chemical compositions of pyrope-almandines from Luleč quarry are in good correlation with chemical compositions of granulite garnets from Miroslav Crystalline Unit and small granulite bodies W of Jihlava. Pyrope-almandines from leptynites of the Polička Crystalline Unit abd Náměšť Granulite Massif show great differences in REE patterns. The results seem to indicate the source areas of granulite pebbles might have been changing from the older to the younger horizons of the Luleč Conglomerates. |
