Description | Growth phytohormone N6-isopentenyladenine (IPA) regulates dividing of plant cells. This type of compounds (generally - derivatives of adenine) has important in vitro cytostatic activity too. The activity can be further improved by interaction of IPA with an atom of some transition metals. We studied here products of reaction of N6-isopentenyladenine with CuCl2.2H2O, NiCl2.6H2O and ZnCl2.xH20 with presence of 2M-HCl. The products were characterized by NMR, IR and MS spectroscopy and by X-ray diffraction |
