| Description | The Czech web archiving project started as a two-year research and development project of the National Library. Its main target was to investigate problems connected with collection and long-term preservation of electronic information resources. The project team was able to establish a testbed for harvesting web resources, based on software tools developed by the NEDLIB project. Nowadays, the Webarchiv project continues as a collaborative effort of the National Library of the Czech Republic, Moravian Library in Brno and Masaryk University. This paper describes the project and discusses its possible future development. |
